QA: Software Engineer

 

Education: BE/BTech from a reputed institution, with consistently good academics

Experience: 2 to 5 years of related work experience and is demonstrably an exceptional achiever

We expect candidates to be able and willing to QA a range of features and products, as needed. The candidate needs to be:

-          Well versed with the fundamentals and intricacies of QA paradigms and the best QA practices in the Industry

-          Exposure to automation frameworks and scripting standards

-          Be focused on making a career in Testing/QA

Skill set

-          Domain: Networking (TCP/IP) knowledge

-          Protocols: HTTP or other application protocols like FTP/SMTP

-          Experience in either Perl or Tcl

-          Good algorithmic understanding

-          Exposure to Linux/Unix environment

·        Deep understanding of Windows kernel, Windows storage stack, multithreaded driver architecture, WDM architecture,  driver development, debugging and troubleshooting

·        Strong C coding skills & hands on thorough understanding of processor architecture, SMP systems, and memory hierarchy

·        Strong debugging skill and performance tuning experience

·        Good knowledge of windows storage subsystem (storport/miniport)

·        Familiarity with OS concepts, multiprocessing, process scheduling, VM subsystem

·        Good communication skills - technical documentation, code review, reporting results

·        Ability to work with co-located as well as distributed teams

·        Knowledge of storage models, storage hierarchy, and consistency models will be added advantage
